Frequently asked questions

Where is my journal stored? Can you read my entries?

Everything you write lives only on your iPhone. There is no account, no cloud, and no server — we couldn't read your journal even if we wanted to. That's the point.

How do I back up my journal?

Open Settings inside Everline and choose Export. This saves your entire journal as a plain-text file you control — keep it in iCloud Drive, Files, email it to yourself, anywhere.

Your journal is also included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer), so restoring your phone restores Everline too.

I got a new iPhone — how do I move my entries?

If you set up the new phone from an iPhone backup, your entries come along automatically. Otherwise, export from Settings on the old phone and restore the file on the new one.

Is Everline really a one-time purchase?

Yes. After a 7-day free trial, a single payment of $1.49 unlocks Everline for life. No subscription, no upsells, no ads.

What happens if my trial ends and I don't purchase?

Your past entries stay readable and exportable forever — we never hold your memories hostage. Writing new lines requires the one-time unlock.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall. How do I restore my purchase?

Open the paywall or Settings and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.

My evening reminder isn't showing up.

Check that notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings → Notifications → Everline → Allow Notifications. Note that Everline intentionally skips the reminder on days you've already written.

Can I edit or delete a past entry?

Yes — open the Years view, tap the day's dot, and edit or delete the line from there.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet — Everline is currently iPhone-only. If you'd like an Android version, tell us; demand genuinely shapes what we build next.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds go through them: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select your Everline purchase.
